Recognizing Peanut Growers Committed to Efficiency and Sustainability

The 26th annual Peanut Efficiency Awards are now accepting nominations to celebrate peanut growers who achieve high yields using regenerative practices. Hosted by Farm Press, this prestigious recognition honors farmers across the peanut belt who balance productivity, sustainability, and smart farm management.

Each year, four outstanding growers (one from each major peanut-growing region) are selected based on their entire farming operation. The evaluation process, led by Marshall Lamb of the National Peanut Research Laboratory, considers key factors such as production costs, price management, and marketing expertise. Winners not only showcase impressive yields but also contribute to the industry’s sustainability efforts by sharing their innovative practices.

Honorees will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the Southern Peanut Growers Conference in Panama City Beach, Florida, taking place July 23-25, 2025. There, they will be recognized at the Peanut Efficiency Awards Breakfast, sponsored by the National Peanut Board (NPB). This annual event brings together industry leaders, researchers, and growers to discuss advancements in peanut production. Winners will also be featured in Farm Press publications and across its digital platforms.

At NPB, we are proud to support initiatives that highlight grower innovation and sustainability. Recognizing these outstanding farmers aligns with our mission to drive demand and showcase the hard work of those who help the peanut industry thrive.

Do you know a deserving peanut grower? The deadline for nominations is April 30, 2025. To submit an entry, email Staci Ingram at staci.ingram@usda.gov. Let’s continue celebrating the dedication and efficiency that define the peanut industry!
